A very cool idea to read web pages...

Brousealoud is a new program that is a different take on the traditional screen reader.

It is a subscription service, to which website developers pay to have their website put into the Browsealoud format. According to the website, the Browsealoud formatting speech-enables the website. This means that any text that is selected will be highlighted and spoken aloud. Since the website developers are paying for the subscription service, anyone can download and use the program for free.

Right now, there area few websites that use this technology, and they are mainly based out of the UK. This download is available for Windows only.

An interesting new way to make your website more accessible!

You can click here to visit the Browsealoud home page.
