From Textbooks to iBooks Part II

I spoke with Froma Cummings, who is the State Director of AT in Arizona yesterday about Empire High School's digital text program.

Arizona is one of the pilot states for the new National Instructional Materials Accessibility Standards (NIMAS). They are into digital text in a big way. Froma was very excited to visit the "textbook-free" high school and how the tech was working. She reported that a lot of thoughtful advanced planning had taken place prior to the beginning of this project.

Granted, this project is only in its earliest phases, but it gets my wheels spinning. Would a project like this be feasible for schools in Illinois?
